Many thanks to Darren and The Proable group for the work recently carried out at our home. The team have installed a new bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom. This included stripping out and removing the existing “furniture”, plastering, painting and tiling prior to installing the new bathroom, toilets etc. We were not on site most of the time and it was very re-assuring having Darren co-ordinating all the work. Our previous experience of contacting separate teams for electrics, tiling etc is that it has been a real problem. With Darren and the team we explained what we wanted and left them to it. We were kept informed of progress on a regular basis with photographs of the work at each stage. We are very happy with our extension built by Darren and his team, which has been to an extremely high standard. Our project was challenging due to site access difficulties and it was time sensitive due to this. But Darren and his team were more than up to the challenge. They worked incredibly hard to get the work done on time.
Darren project managed everything to a very high standard. He was very professional to deal with. He always answered any questions we had throughout the process and we were always able get hold of him whenever we needed to. He communicated with us well through the project, keeping us continually up to date on progress and any issues.
He dealt well with some unexpected issues that arose during the project and managed to make sure that the strict timescales were kept to.

We recently purchased a kitchen from ‘Kitchen’s by Emma Reed’ and contracted Darren Jonah and his building firm ProAble to do the building work on her recommendation.
The job entailed building, plumbing and electrical work, along with window and French door installation and the laying of a wood floor. Darren Project Managed the job from start to finish meaning that we had none of the hassle of contacting suppliers or chasing tradesmen.
We are very pleased with the finished result. Darren is a very capable Project Manager who aims to please and delivers on his promises. He has built up a team of quality tradesmen around him who are prompt, polite and have a very good work ethic (they were at our property every day before 8am).
The finished kitchen was completed on time and within the agreed budget even though materials were in particular short supply due to the Covid pandemic. We are very pleased with the finished result.

Darren and the team at ProABLE came recommended to us through Emma Reed’s Kitchens and we were not disappointed. In November 2020 ProAble began the process of renovating our main bathroom and from the onset we knew we were in safe hands. We recently used Darren on a full renovation of a HMO in Brynmill. I contacted Darren and his team through his Facebook page. Darren and his team were a joy to work with – very professional throughout a 10 week renovation of taking up existing tiled floors throughout that had underfloor heating, removing kitchen and tiled wet room, installing a new kitchen, new sliders, carpentry, new tiling in wet room, painting and decorating throughout. Darren coordinated all trades – plumber, electrician, carpenter – advised me and held my hand throughout and took all the stress of organising trades etc.

We recently hired Darren and his expert team at ProAble to address a small issue we had with a collapsed corner of our living room ceiling. From the very start, Darren impressed us with his thorough assessment of the situation, discovering damage that went far beyond what we had initially realised.
Thanks to Darren's keen eye and extensive knowledge, we discovered rotting joists and water damage all throughout the ceiling area. My partner and I bought a top floor flat in Llanelli as a retirement property and a place where we could finally relax, put our feet up and enjoy the views. We moved in as some major external work was being done to re-render the blocks and replace windows originally fitted which just weren’t up to the standard required of a sea facing flat. Imagine our horror when the scaffolding came down and our windows and patio doors hadn’t been replaced even though: A: ours were in the worst condition of all and B: all our neighbours had had theirs done.
The worst was yet to come. On one particularly windy day the main bedroom window blew out and off its hinges and the west facing window became an internal water feature. This was in November with us knowing that we had a winter ahead and little hope of being prioritised until the next stage commenced. Our anxiety was tangible.
Thankfully, ProAble were recommended to us as the best of the best – professional, highly skilled, respectful and competitively and fairly priced. We were lucky that within one hour of contacting them Darren (the business owner) was at our flat, tape measure in hand, courteous and reassuring. We could finally relax. Being the Christmas period it meant that we would have to wait a tiny bit longer for manufacturing which we totally expected, but a date was agreed and we were promised the team would be with us between 8.30 and 9 on the day. They arrived to the minute (and over the other two consecutive days). They laid down protective matting to protect our carpet and set to work.
Living at the top of a block of flats can present some unique challenges – others we spoke to made it sound almost an impossible job to fit such a huge balcony area, but they were able to safely and, with respect for our neighbours, hoist the main frame from ground level outside to the balcony. No scaffolding was needed and the window frames were fitted internally then the glass affixed. Incredible.
The dedication, professionalism and courtesy shown was unprecedented and we were made to feel totally at ease and have trusted, knowledgeable craftsmen do their job. The first night after installation felt like being in a new flat – eerily quiet, no draughts, no water ingress or condensation and we turned the heating off after about 20 minutes; it really made that much difference.
We honestly cannot praise them enough. We feel we now have the home we expected and deserved after many years of toil. It speaks volumes that whilst fitting, two other tenants approached the team to work on their flats and our flat has become like a show home.

The job was to remove and replace existing render, pebbledash and cornerstones on the front of our house.
The team worked hard, were always pleasant and ready to answer any questions. We were grateful for the care they took in matching the colour of the new render and pebbledash with the rest of the house. The plasterer did a lovely job with the cornerstones. Had the best experience with ProAble. Pro Able were asked to quote for repairs to our double-fronted late Victorian house after rotting timbers had been identified, causing further ingress of rainwater. Also tackled was inefficient drainage, ventilation and rising damp.

The electronic invoicing system was efficient and timely, making sure there was always agreement about how much was to be paid at each stage of the work. I Am Writing with regards to the above company Proable Group Ltd. They carried out extensive work at my home in 2014/15 after I discovered I had Dry Rot. They refurbished all of the ground floor which included replacing the windows and fitting French doors. I can’t speak highly enough of Darren and his team, they were professional, efficient and highly motivated and I will definitely be using them again in the future.
